Here's a piece from ABC News about the comeback (and update) of the "girdle". I don't even like to use the "g" word because today's shapewear is far beyond anything Grandma wore.
Sandra Bullock, Meg Ryan, Halle Berry and Salma Hyek definitely don't bring images of Grandma to mind.
And, this also goes to show that the benefits of today's shapewear go beyond appearance. The article states that "It just helps them feel better-", when asked why even super models like Tyra Banks wear Spanx.
